Toyota has launched India’s first hydrogen-based fuel cell Electric vehicle the Toyota Mirai. The Toyota Mirai Hydrogen car price in India will be around ₹49,50,000. This Toyota Mirai hydrogen car is capable to give a 600km range from a single charge and with 5 min of refueling.

On Wednesday Toyota Kirloskar with the International Centre for Automotive Technology(ICAT) and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launched India’s first hydrogen-based advanced fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), Nitin Gadkari said that the FCEV by hydrogen is the best solution for the zero-emission solutions.

Also, the highway minister said that the Toyota Mirai hydrogen is completely environmentally friendly with not any tailpipe emission other than water.

The Mirai comes with a sporty and luxurious exterior design. In front, the Mirai looks like a shark head design with a Toyota logo on the front. In front, we can see LED DRLs and LED headlights, and LED taillights. The new alloy wheel design looks so sporty and luxurious.

We can also see the fake exhaust at back but don’t know why Toyota keeps it just for looks I think.

Toyota Mirai Mileage (Range)

The Toyota Mirai is a hydrogen fuel cell car that generates electricity through the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen. The Mirai comes with a 5-6 kg hydrogen tank with a 1.2kWh lithium-ion battery which helps to operate the motor, which can provide 600km from a single charge or a full tank of hydrogen fuel.

Also, the refueling of hydrogen will take only 5 minutes so it will take less time to refuel if we compare it to an electric car which needs around 1 hour to recharge.

In India, hydrogen fuel will cost around ₹150 per kg. So the running cost of the Toyota Mirai will be ₹150 per 110-120km so it will be much cheaper the petrol and diesel.

The power and torque of the Mirai 2022 are not confirmed by Toyota in India right now but in the UK the Toyota Mirai is launched and its power output is 182hp( horsepower) and 300Nm of torque so we can expect the exact same power output in India.

For me, the Toyota Mirai is a new revolution of electric cars in India that helps to reduce emissions and become an environmentally friendly car. One of the main features of this car is the running cost of this car will be much lesser than the normal fuel car, it will cost around Rs 110 per 100km.

Also if we compare it to the normal electric vehicle by charging factor then the hydrogen fuel cell car is a time saver because the normal electric car will take around an hour to charge the battery. But in hydrogen fuel cell cars it will take less than 5 min to fill the tank.

Also, the exterior design and interior design of the Toyota Mirai are so well designed which makes it a luxury sedan with a comfortable driving experience.

One of the negative points of the hydrogen fuel cell car in India is there are not many hydrogen fuel stations so we have to check if there is any hydrogen fuel station around us before buying the Toyota Mirai in India.
