Germany-based luxury car manufacturer BMW has launched its first electric car in India. The BMW ix price in India will be around Rs 1.16 Cr. BMW ix is launched as a complete build-up ( CBU ). BMW ix comes with a single variant of iX xDrive 40, Which has two electric motors connected with a motor with an all-wheel driving function.

The BMW ix Drive 40 is a powerful fully-electric car that can produce 326hp with a peak torque 630Nm. Also, BMW claims that BMW ix Drive can achieve a speed of 0-100km/h in just 6.1 seconds with a top speed of 200km/h. The all-wheel drive is the main feature that can give more power to the car.
BMW ix series also had its top model BMW ix Drive 50 which is not available right now in India, Which is the fastest electric car in the BMW ix series. It can produce 523hp with 765Nm peak torque, Which can achieve the top speed of 200km/h and can easily accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4 seconds.
BMW iX Battery and charging
The BMW ix xDrive 40 comes with a 76.6kwh battery which can give a long range of power to this car. BMW claims that the BMW ix xDrive 40 can drive a range of 425km with a full charge.
By using a 2,3KW charger BMW ix xDrive 40 can charge 0-100 percent in 116 hours. BMW ix also supports dc fast charging which can charge the battery from 0-80 percent in just 73 minutes at 54kw capacity.
If want to charge the BMW ix faster than 73 minutes you can go far with a 150kw charger which can charge ix from 0-100 percent in just 31 minutes. If your able to find one.

BMW iX interior details
